There have been around 300 springs with drinking water registered in Serbia until now, and Serbia is among European countries which, because of its geological composition of terrain full of various minerals also has richest springs of quality mineral water. Mineral water industry is one of rare economy sectors in Serbia which records continuous organic rise. Only during first four months this year, sales of natural mineral and spring water were 12 percent higher than during the same period last year. Calculated in litres, it means that in this quarter 170,1 million litres of 12 sorts of mineral waters were sold, while last year during the same quarter 151,9 million litres.
