
In May this year, energy drinks were best sold in small shops – 41% of total sale of this sort of drinks. Next in relevance for this category, with 29%, is the HoReCa segment. It is followed by big selling objects, with 17%, supermarkets with 11%, while on the petrol stations consumers rarely decide to buy energy drinks.
Contrary to common belief, energy drinks do not help one to remain awake confirms research done at the University in Londonborough. Energy drinks are not harmful, but only if consumed in moderate quantities. They are not allowed for children and people with heart diseases, while the others, according to domestic experts’ opinion, should not drink more than one can per day. Even though they consider energy drinks not harmful for human health, experts recommend that curious consumers consult their doctors first, especially because they make dependency.
