Slobodan Milosavljevic, Minster of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management, says that the Ministry which he is the head of will strive to harmonize the Strategy of agriculture development with the EU standards. In September the expert part will be completed, and in October there will be more public discussions and debates so that afterwards Strategy for agriculture development in Serbia can enter Serbian Assembly and find itself before the Members of the Parliament in November, latest December. “Beside providing citizens’ balance needs for agricultural products and market surpluses for export our goal is also to improve the quality of life in villages. In the long-term period, only three segments in which Serbia can be concurrent not only in the region and in Europe but also worldwide are sectors of services, because of the geo-strategic position, i.e. ‘place where we built our house’, agriculture, and total human resources”, says, among other things, Slobodan Milosavljevic.
