PKB expects change of ownership since the most part of its surfaces is state property. Since its task is to still supply Belgrade with food, but to act in the market way, in PKB and Serbian Chamber of Commerce they support the idea that this agricultural combine is transformed into the public enterprise. Among the rare companies which survived these times of transition there is PKB Corporation whose task is to produce food for the city whose name it has, that is to supply almost two million inhabitants, and also to export one part! In this biggest agricultural farm on the Balkans, they consider that agriculture has the possibility to become flywheel of Serbian development, of course if, in it, in its modernization, but also in “cure of old wounds”, invests enough of work, knowledge and finances. Milos Bugarin, Director General of the PKB emphasises the idea initiated by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce that this giant transforms into the public enterprise.
